We do not sell your personal data. We collect only what is needed to generate your report, process your payment, and send you what you purchased.
Who we are
Dubai Money Plan is a digital financial information product operated by Jon Evans, based in Essex, United Kingdom. Contact: jon@dubaimoneyplan.com
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What data we collect
Information you provide
- Name and email address — required to send your report and respond to support requests
- Quiz answers — including salary band, savings range, accommodation type, pension type, student loan plan, NI years, housing situation, family situation, relocation timeline, and main concerns
- Dubai salary estimate — if you choose to enter one
Data generated by the service
- Calculated report outputs — UK and Dubai take-home figures, readiness score, risk level, move fund estimate, and locked section count
- Report metadata — lead ID, date and time of report generation, email open and delivery status
Payment data
- Stripe session ID and payment intent ID — to confirm your payment and trigger premium report delivery
- We do not store card numbers, CVV codes, or any raw payment credentials. All payment processing is handled by Stripe (see Third Parties below)
Why we collect your data
- To generate and deliver your free report — your quiz answers are used to produce the personalised financial assessment
- To send your report by email — free report, premium PDF, and checklist deliveries
- To process your payment — via Stripe, and to confirm delivery of the premium report
- To provide customer support — including refund requests and technical issues
- To improve the product — aggregated, anonymised patterns may be reviewed to improve accuracy and content
The legal basis for processing is contract performance (delivering the report you requested) and legitimate interests (improving the product and handling support).
Where your data is stored and processed
Your data may be stored or processed by the following third-party services. Each is bound by their own privacy and data processing terms:
- Google Sheets — lead and report data is logged in a private Google Sheet accessible only to Dubai Money Plan. Google's servers are located in the EU/US.
- Netlify — our website and serverless functions are hosted on Netlify. Function logs may contain partial lead data temporarily. Netlify is SOC 2 certified.
- Resend — we use Resend to send transactional emails (your report, checklist, and notifications). Email content passes through Resend's infrastructure.
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe stores your payment details on their PCI-compliant infrastructure. We never see your raw card data.
How long we keep your data
- Lead and report data — retained for up to 2 years, then deleted or anonymised
- Payment records — retained for 7 years as required for UK financial record-keeping
- Email logs — retained for up to 90 days by Resend for delivery tracking
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below). Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email jon@dubaimoneyplan.com with your name and the email address used when completing the quiz. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Dubai Money Plan does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We do not run ads, retargeting, or analytics beyond what is essential to operate the site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
